Project 2: Self-Portrait

 

For the second project, we had to take self-portraits and portraits of a friend or family member. For my first photo, I wanted to show a sense of mystery and darkness. So I decided to make sure everything but my eyes were dark and gloomy. The streak in my eyes represents a sense of openness and the good in me. For my second photo I wanted to show a sense of who I am and something that plays a huge role in my life-my job. Working there for over a year and a half you meet so many new people and working there about 5 days a week the job in a sense becomes like another little family. As for my last photo I wanted to show a vintage feel-a polaroid feel. I wanted a candid feel to it as well which I think I executed well. Overall this project was my favorite throughout this entire course and I truly am interested in exploring more in this aspect of photography.
